Excursions in Corfu
Sivota Blue Lagoon
Beautiful, secluded beaches, crystal clear waters and Ionian idyll. The west coast of mainland Greece is simply alluring. On this full day boat trip, you’ll visit the picturesque village of Sivota and stop for swims in the turquoise waters of the Blue Lagoon and Bella Vraka.
Leaving Corfu behind, the first stop is the Papanikolis sea cave, where you’ll be able to see the sea glittering on its roof. You’ll then have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the waters off the coast of the Blue Lagoon. Next, we’ll glide to Mourtemeno island for a swim near the tiny, palm-fringed Bella Vraka beach – where the translucent water is too tempting to resist – before lunch is served on board.
We’ll arrive at Sivota, where you’ll have some free time to wander around this pretty fishing village before we make our way back to Corfu. During the return journey, the captain will stop off Lefkimmi port so that you can see from the boat this charming seaside village.
Paxos Antopaxos Daily Cruise
If you’re in search of glittering azure waters and a healthy dose of Greek culture then a boat trip to Antipaxos and Paxos from Corfu is a must-do. These islands might be small in terms of size, but they pack a punch with scenery and laidback Mediterranean feel.
From Corfu we’ll sail over to Antipaxos, stopping at the caves along the way. Then the boat stops off the coast of Antipaxos, and you’ll have time for a leisurely swim or just sit and relax on board.
Peace and quiet reigns over Paxos, even in the livelier town of Gaios. Here you’ll have some free time to choose a taverna for lunch, explore the town and its shops, and more sunbathing and swimming – the ideal way to spend a day in the Greek Islands.
Parga & Paxos Boat Trip
Spending the day discovering Greek islands and towns by boat is a picture-perfect way of exploring in and around Corfu. You’ll see the pretty pastel coloured town of Parga and be able to delight in the turquoise water and Greek culture that oozes from the small but mighty island of Paxos.
Leaving Corfu behind us we’ll start our boat trip by travelling towards Parga located on mainland Greece. Surrounded by mountains around a secluded bay, its characteristic pastel coloured houses are from images you see in postcards. You’ll be able to enjoy some free time to explore its pretty streets and soak up the relaxed atmosphere in a place where Greek tourists also come for food and scenery.
Next you’ll visit the island of Paxos, a gift from the God of the Sea, Poseidon, to his lover. It’s quite simply spectacular, and a place where you can easily watch the world go by. You’ll have some more free time to wander around before returning to Corfu.
Boat Trip to Albania
Albania is just a short boat ride from Corfu. This often-overlooked country was closed to outsiders for decades and it’s only now really beginning to flex its tourist muscles. On this full day excursion, you’ll visit the ruins of ancient Butrint, go for lunch and enjoy free time in Saranda.
The tour kicks off with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint. Everyone from the Greeks to Romans to Ottomans left their mark on this ancient town. Walking through its ruins is like leafing through the pages of a living history book. Highlights include the amphitheatre and temple.
A woodland stroll up to the Venetian hill fort will give you great views over the national park and the surrounding wetlands. Afterwards, you’ll head for lunch. Finally there’s an hour of free time to explore Saranda before returning to Corfu.
